I'd like to fly on a 744 of BA to LHR. As US has no flights to JFK from CLT, it leaves me BOS or PHL for BA 744 gateways. I don't want to connect @ IAD. Anyway, I was wondering which would be easier connecting in PHL or BOS? Is there a tram or shuttle between terminals @ BOS?

In PHL, it'd be a short walk from either the US Airways B/C terminal to the International Terminal A. There's a small chance that if you get a widebody from CLT to PHL that you would arrive in Terminal A. Whichever terminal your CLT flight arrives in, you will NOT need to re-clear security in PHL (you will need to to do so after you clear customs on the return, however).

Thanks Haveric. Sounds like PHL would be easier since I'd only have to re-enter security once. However, I'd probably be flying US to PHL then transferring to BA PHL-LHR. Since no code-share, wouldn't I have to claim my luggage @ PHL then re-check in @ BA arrivals?

No need to recheck luggage if you show your ongoing ticket at check in.

B764,
For the winter season, at least out of BOS, BA has gone to all 777s for all three flights. This past summer, they had 744s for the 2 evening flights and a 777 for the morning departure.
In any case, whatever airline you arrive with, you will eventually have to walk or take a shuttle bus from your arriving terminal to Terminal E. I'm sure there is interline/through check-in so that you won't have to reclaim your bags and lug them to Terminal E.

As an employee for British Airways in Boston, I can confirm we are 777 on all three daily flights (BA212, BA 214, and BA238). If you did still fly through Boston, your bags should be checked through, even if you must check-in at the counter again. If that's the case, just show your claim checks and everything will be taken care of. I imagine this is the same thing in PHL.
