Why are they actually heading to Cyprus?

Why not to Chateauroux,...?

Frederic

There exists something frederic and that's price. Apparently ILFC has discovered that Cyprus is cheaper than Brussels or Chateauroux

According to FvG on VRT Tv the aircraft have been ferried out of Eurocontrol area as the leasing company fears that the aircraft may be impounded by Eurocontrol. A very plausible explanation given the fact that Air Holland did a similar trick once before

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

I first thought the three machines would be handed over to Cyprus Airways by ILFC... Weren't they looking for some replacement of they ageiing A312 ???

I saw a report with Axel Nicolaï (the son of Raymond) yesterday evening. He was on one of the flights to Larnaca.

If I find investors, yes.
I have been working on this already for some time, together with British and Dutch collegues, I am convinced in a future for long-haul carriers who offer only one class, a good pitch and reasonable fares. Of course, every airline is doomed without a good and efficient feeder service and backing from the majors...
As for Brussels as a base, yes, it has the potential, we all know that.

Shiek!
