I can paraphrase an Air Transport Intelligence article on the aircraft which was published a couple of weeks ago.
First Tu-334 has carried out 135 test flights. Aviant and MiG will roll out another two examples in December and June respectively. At the same time, MiG is working towards completing shortly the first phase of a special facility for mass production of Tu-334s.
Ukraine and Russia are to formalise co-operation on the Tu-334 construction programme, and the key players in the project will form an international consortium next year, in order to unify the process and aid marketing.
This consortium will include MiG, Aviastar and the Taganrog aviation plant. Ukraine's players will include Aviant, design bureau Progress and powerplant builder Motor-Sich.
A decision on the Tu-334 price is to be made imminently, with an aim to keep it under $16m.
