I am a regular CSA flyer and I am very pleased with the company. I have flown both transatlantic and European flights many times. For their transatlantic flights they use an A-310-300 which carries 209 pax. Their seat pitch is very adequate, their service is great and the food is very tasty. I usually fly business class which is superb. Their economy class is also very good. You may see positive comments on Skytrax, I have included their web site.
seat selection for the A-310-300 : avoid seat numbers 5 to 10 (A-B-C) because of the front lavatory. Also, any seat numbers in row 10 (seats do not recline)
B-737s: any seats are comfortable: ask for an emergency exit.
Finally, I always wera a suit and I have learned a few Czech words and sentences.. I always get upgraded in Business class.. You might try that.
Furthermore, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me

CSA is a very good airline. They have a modern fleet of A310-300s, B737-400, B737-500, ATR42 and AT72. Average fleet age is around seven years. Their level of service on European flights is known to be better than on most other European carriers.

Thanks Guys for the informative replies
Swissgabe, how did you guess that I was thinking of the PRG-CMB route?
Its actually for a mate of mine's. I would take a lot for me to give up Srilankan (to CMB at least) that easily!
plus the LHR-PRG-DXB-CMB route is a bit too tiering for me!
Will let you know how the 310's & service compare when my friend returns back.
Thanks Traveler for the info on seating. I know what you mean about the lavatories on a 11 - 12 hr flight!!

I sold nearly 40 Tickets to CMB from ZRH, some of them returned back and told the service was good enough for the Price they paid. They have very good price to CMB and to YYZ even in the month of December..

I flew with CSA ZAG-PRG (737-500), and then I took Prague-Dubai (via Larnaca) with TU-154. On our way back I flew with 310 from Dubai to Prague via Bahrain. Finally, back from Prague to Zagreb on 737-500.
All 737 flights were great, in a sense that they were comfortable. And the crew was fine and pleasant. On Tupolev flight I was a bit disappointed with the service (really bad food, served cold instead of warm, etc) and service on 310 wasn't sth special. The crew were a bit rude, waking me up and only one toilet was opened so one had to wait for a longer time in order to get in there...
However, 737 flights were really enjoyable, nice service, clean and fresh interiors.
I took CSA also on VIE-PRG-SPU-PRG-VIE leg, I flew always with ATR-72 (twice even on the same ATR aircraft!), comfortable as well, nice food (even on PRG-VIE leg of the flight).
That was it. I would fly with them once again if I had an opportunity!

I've flown them on SKG-PRG-MAN a couple of times.
They're really good on short flights.
The food is not very nice, the seats are quite comfortable on their B734 and B735. I'm 6.3" and i could fit properly.
I don't have any idea about their long flights.
Have a good trip.

I've flown a few times on CSA....Bratislava to Prague on an ATR in a snowstorm, Frankfurt to Prague and London to Prague. All flights were uneventful, professional and safe. Drinks and/or snacks on all flights....the flight attendents need to be quick on the Frankfurt flight as it's very short.
