Hi,
I know that the sixth 777 for Alitalia will be delivered in may 2003 ready for the Summer schedule.
It seems that there are some new routes being introduces as more aircrafts are available.
What will happen when the three leased examples will join the fleet by the end of 2003? More destinations, frequencies or resume of old dropped cities?
Any news about the choice for the second long haul type (767 or A330)?
When will they convert into firm orders the options for further 772ER and for the 773ER?

Where is AZ's main base? From the above it seems as if they have all destinations split up somehow between FCO and MXP with the latter having a higher frequencies (except for JFK post 07/02/03) but what city do they consider the AZ-home?

Godbless: the answer is both, or better, one of the two but Alitalia hasn't decided yet.
Or they really build up a two hub structure, which imply a huge long haul fleet or they decide on concentrate on just one hub.
Actually they decided on MXP few years ago when the new airport was opened but problems with it caused Alitalia to split its presence between Rome and Milan......
Ciao
Stefano
P.S.
Even if I know that on a business point of view Milan should be the first choice I always consider Rome as the main Italian hub.

Steman,
CCS= Caracas (Venezuela).
I was also surprise when I read from the summer schedule EZE becomes again MDD-11. But I think untill summer timetable they will fly B772s to EZE, at least from FCO.
