Yes, Interesting. Perhaps the Bisara kid had McDill in his sights all along.

You are exactly right. There is ample evidence that Accutane has caused severe mental problems that include suicide and psychotic symptoms. I think that you are correct that the makers of Accutane should be held responsible for their actions and omissions. They have known the facts for a long time and have done nothing.

Yeah, I'm waiting to hear about Malvo's (and Reed's etc.) adventures with Accutane. I'm surprised we don't hear about "financial problems" being the cause...except that doesn't work with teenagers. good enough excuse (apparently) for guys who shoot up the Empire State bldg observation deck...and El Al desks at LAX.

People who attended the recent SFO gathering told me that this guy was a member of Airliners.net and bragged on the non-aviation forum that he would do something big that day. Any info on that?

I believe he was indeed a member, but I don't remember hearing anything about him bragging about it on A.net. I suspect that is just the natural embellishment rumors tend to get as they travel.

He was a member, and if you search somewhere Johan (or a member) posted his user name. I used accutane about 3-4 years ago, it really makes you miserable for a few months.

Homer: Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true!

Re the kid's attitude here: he liked to pick fights. He picked one with me, and you guys know that I generally don't get into fights.

Re Accutane: there are now warnings given out about possibility of severe depression, or at least that's what I remember from a prescription written for me in 1997. Because of that I chose not to take the medication, for fear that it would exacerbate other mental problems I deal with on a daily basis.

I was forced to take it. I mean really forced to take it. I steadfastly refused to take it in the doctor's office, but my parents went behind my back to the doctor and got the prescription. Then they practically shoved the pills down my throat, all in the name of have "good skin." I kept protesting, but they would hear none of it. This was in 1995-96.

They're still finding the pills in little niches around the house!  Big thumbs up
