Hello,
I was recently reading a book, "The Flame of Adventure" by Simon Yates, and in it, there is an aircraft crash mentioned..all that is said (as it is not an aviation book the details are few) is that the airline is Pakistan International Airlines, the date is September 1993, and the location is near Kathmandu, Nepal...anyone have more info on this crash??

For sure. On September the 28th, 1992, A300B4 AP-BCP was flown into the fan marker hill at Katmandu. It was attributed to misreading of poorly written approach charts.

Have not read the book, but it must relate to PIA's crash in Sept '92, which unfortunately claimed the life of a dear friend's sister who was backpacking through India/Nepal at the start of her gap year before going on to University.

Hi!
If you like aviation related books, you have "Air Disaster 3" from australian writer McArthur Job that covers deeply both crashed, PIA and Thai one. I have that book and it's interesting to see all the detail involved in this matter.
