Has Chautauqua started flying their ERJ-135/145s down in florida yet? They're supposed to fly for Delta Connection, but on their site, it does'nt show their destiantions or talk about it. They were supposed to start in Nov., but I don't know! Anyone seen 'em down in Florida yet?

I know they've started to fly because I've tracked a couple of their flights from MCO-SDF over the last few days. However, I haven't gone out there since I flew almost 4 weeks ago and I didn't see them then. Hope this helps! See ya

So we (CMH) got the launch flight for Chatauqua & Delta's partnership? That's cool! I had no idea that was where the first flight would originate from!

Does it have anything to do with the maint. facility there, or was it planned that way?

I believe Chatauqua also operates as US Air Express out of Charlotte, also using ERJ-135/145's..

CHQ started operating 3 RT (each market) CMH-TPA/MCO ERJ145 Nov 1st. Two additional a/c (1 ERJ135 & 1 ERJ145) will enter service Dec 1st. Additional routes will be MCO-NAS/EYW/FLL (ERJ135) & MCO-SDF (ERJ145).

IND-MCO will also be flown 3 times daily with Chautauqua ERJ-145's starting in January, replacing Delta Express.

DeltaRules:

I'm sure the Chautauqua maintenance facility had a large part to play in the decision, that and the eventual demise of Delta Express. They even noted in the press release how they would be taking advantage of the CHQ facility here for their aircraft.

Delta-flyer:

Chautauqua does fly for USAirways Express, but not out of Charlotte. Most of the USAirways Express routes are from La Guardia, Logan, and Philadelphia. Chautauqua also flies as AmericanConnection from St. Louis and America West Express from Columbus.

My friend wanted me to post this on his behalf.

I was at MCO last Tuesday the 5th for a control tower tour when I noticed taxing to the runway, a Chautauqua ERJ in DL colors. Unfortunately I was not able to get a picture because I do not have a zoom, but I was able to distinguish that is was an ERJ just by the size and that it was much narrower than a CRJ. I do think the ERJ looks pretty good in DL colors.

The Delta Connection ERJ's do look quite sharp in Delta's current color scheme. Since we see them 6 times on a daily basis here in CMH, I've gotten to take a good look at them several times. Though I will miss the Delta Express colors on the 737-200's.
