Today's report in the Manchester Evening News contains these nuggets of information:

MAN passenger numbers finally pointing upwards...up 2% on October 2001, to 1.8 million.

BA getting 80% loads to JFK, CO 89% to EWR.

EK confirmation for double daily to DXB on June 1st 2003 using 285 seat A330s.

QR confirm April 23rd is launch date for 4 weekly service using 3-class 224 seat A330. Departures: 9.15pm on Mondays and Thursdays and 10.15am on Wednesdays and Sundays

I read the report on manchester online, also said that loads on the BA flight to JFK had increased by 50% in september 2002 compared with last september 2001; they must have been dire a year ago considering they only use a 767-300 on the route. I just wonder how long BA will keep this route going, i think its days are numbered.

I believe that in 2000, it generated a £1 million profit for them despite their best intentions! If they could totally separate this route from BA mainline, I daresay that would make more money.

Believe we had an "oddity" today....a Buzz 737 (natrurally I missed it). No idea why it was here; arrived before 06.00 and was still present at 12.30. I wonder if it was bringing Buzz hierarchy in for discussions?
