I heard a recent rumor of this, even someone that claims it was on the news. Is this true, is DL completely pulling out of ORD?

Thank you for giving me a heart attack my hometown in Chicago! I really don't think so Delta will pulling out of Chicago! Maybe someone is miscommunication about the service.

The only explanation for it would be that Delta mainline is reducing flights to ORD and Comair or ASA adding more flights. But nah... ORD its a huge market for all airlines.

Definetly not ORD. Maybe MDW, but I have my doubts as they added 737 ATL service last year (right after 9/11), and just put another frequency on MDW-CVG.

Delta is closing its FA crew base in ORD, that may be where this misunderstanding came from.

They are also closing FA crew bases on IAH, MSY, SEA, and PDX.

We mustn't forget that the crew base in Dallas is being slashed in half. That, along with the other domicile cuts, makes me believe Delta is worse off that it says.

Aviation is proof that, given the will, we have the capacity to achieve the impossible.
