Hello,

Flyjet (who are apparently going to start with 3 B752s with bases at LGW and MAN) have applied to the UK CAA for a type A operators license and to operate charter flights between any two points within the terms of their AOC.
They're rumored to be aiming for a March start up.

I've heard of the same company, however, I've heard they are looking at CVT for their base, not MAN or LGW.

I know that air atlanta were applying for a uk AOC to operate there own flights.....is this the new name for that operation or is this something completey new.

Does anyone know who is behind this as there registered office is in the next building to where i work at gatwick.

What kind of funding do they have !!!!
Do you think the license will be granted to them.??

Shaun Dewey (ex-Airworld?) is amoungst the team in charge, 1 x 757 @ MAN and 2 x @ LGW.

I used to love the smell of Jet-A in the morning...

Does anyone know how far they are into the operation and who else is on the management team.
If my memory serves me right...Airworld did very well but not quite sure what happened to them...i think they were bought out or something or merged with someone else.

This might sound a bit of a silly question,but, if they have applied for the license and have an office allready and i suppose they have the correct funding...does this mean its looking very hopefull and that they are confident that they will be granted the license.

I hope so... hope someone can shed some more light about the above.
