Wow, it´s been a long time since I last posted here! I think the old school from this forum remembers me, I hope  Smile One of the few brave girls posting here  Smile

I have a final paperwork to do on university (I´m majoring advertising) and I´m currently researching on TAM´s new strategy of fleet replacement (withdawl of several F-100) and my aviation knowledges seemed to fade away and I want to know, if there anyone here who knows about brazilian aviation more than I do (I bet there´s a few here who do) to explain to me the real cause of the replacement and the increase of A330-200 so much overrated by the media.

And another question: since there are a few F-100 flying for TAM, is it possible that A319 can compete with Varig´s B737-300 for domestic routes?

Any help would be very appreciated, specially from brazilians. I also accept answers via e-mail.

Having just returned from an event in Sao Paulo (and seen enough TAM Fokker 100s to last a lifetime) I might be able to help.

But I'm a little confused by your question - perhaps it's just me, but I'm not sure what you're asking. Could you perhaps re-phrase it?

What I´m asking is:
_the real reasons that TAM is buying more A330-200 and how will they cover up the regional flights since they were returning the F100. Since you told me you saw tons of F100, this is not an immediate move from TAM.

(btw, a F100 just flew over my house)...

and the second question:
_is 737-300 from varig can compete with tam A319 on regional flight (same pax capacity, range...)
