Up until its 2001/2002 edition, JP Airline Fleet lists RP-C6888 as a Fokker 27-100, c/n 10169, formerly NZ2783.
In its 2002/2003 edition, RP-C6888 has become a Fokker 27-600, c/n 10571, formerly 3C-QQB.
Aviation Week and Space Technology also reports that a F27-600, "manufactured in 1978", crashed into Manila Bay on Nov. 11.
How can this be explained ? Is it a case of double application of the same registration to different aircraft ? If it is, what has become of the old RP-C6888 ?

Yes, Laoag re-used the registration. The original RP-C6888 (10169) was wfu at Laoag 3.96 and presumably scrapped, the crashed one was bought in 2001, (10571) ex Uganda Airlines.
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?
