SAA 332 With Star Alliance Logo?

I was looking at the first shoots of the South African 332:

I know it's leased from bmi, but I wonder why the Star logo near the cockpit wasn't covered.
As far as I know SAA is not a Star member.
Any clue?

Maybe they couldn't be bothered to take it off as sometime in the future it will go back to bmi British Midland. Saves a bit of repainting I say.

That wouldnt be a bad idea for them joining the star alliance afterall the alliance needs a partner from Africa.
