Earl Robinson´s Alliance Aircraft and IAPO from Russia will likely join forces to produce the FD728, a decision will be made in the next few days. On December 2nd there will likely be the final decision about the company´s future. In addition Earl Robinson´s company has already held talks with Lufthansa about a new order.

I had already given up hope as it was mentioned earlier that a decision would be made within days or a week. After time passed and nothing came then I thought that it must be over and nobody wanted to make it public.
If the case is really that the FD728 (and later the 928) get started again it would be great. I do hope that production will stay in Germany though.

From what I hear the production stays in Oberpfaffenhofen (Germany) with only some of the components being manufactured abroad. Rumour is that the Star Alliance order could exceed 100 frames - but it is only a rumour, haven´t heard more. BTW, both the Dornier and Fairchild families are backing Earl Robinson.
