How do these airports allocate gates to airlines. Do flights use the same gates or does it change on a daily basis. I know SQ and NZ overnight here in SYD and they tend to pretty much use the same gates. TG also uses the same gate on its SYD AKL sector.
Also,at AKL are the NZ 733s parked at remote stands or use the standard gates. Also can all the gates at AKL accommodat 744s??????????

At AKL gates 3, 4 and 9 can't handle 744's! The 733's go on the standard gates when avalible, I heard yesterday that there were 22 international aircraft at 1 time and a NZ 733 was on gate 1 and the TG MD11 was on a layover gate to unload.
As for gate allocations TG991-992 is on usually 2 or 6, SQ is usually on 5, CX on 1 or 10, most other airlines swap often some don't though.

CX not so often on 10 now that they scrapped the extra security checkpoint at AKL... mostly 1 and 6 (although 7 seems to have been popular recently). Sydney don't seem to particularly allocate to aircraft at North pier but NZ104 somehow always seems to depart from 60 and NZ106 from 54. Or perhaps it's just me.
