Havn't flown them but I have helped turn three of them that where flying crewmen for fishing boats that where changing crews.
The Aircraft was an IL-62M. A pretty good sized beast. One little triva fact that most people out there may not be aware of is that the still height of the IL-62 is the same as a Boeing 757. Found this out because we didn't have a ajustable set of stairs so when we found out about the Aeroflot planes we (Read I) figured out that we had to build a set of stairs to reach the door. After a couple calls the boss in town said the door where 14' 4" off the ground. He sent a couple of welders in from town and they built a set of stairs that would reach the aircraft, only after scavaging parts for it out of the town dump.
The plane arrived and we wheeled that monstrosity up to the Pax door. and the top step was level with the FA waist.

I'll give a good advice- TRY IT YOURSELF!
and decide for yourself.
since you live in Europe, you may be lucky and get B734's flight (I was strongly opposite to the addition of it)
if you fly in Europe here what you gonna expect:
Il-86 (most possible)
Tu-134 (depends on WHERE you fly)
Boeing 737-400 (Amsterdam, London, Brussels and somewhere else...)
and THE LEAST- Il-62M
talking about Quality- well... I'd put Il-86 first- heavy slick... slices like a knife through butter. then- Tu-154 (noisy), Tu-134 (light- sky bouncer : )) B734 (never liked) and least- Il-62 (fairly old, tight and god bless you if you sit in the back!)
some An-24s fly there, but I do not think you will get that lucky...
that' pretty much it...
if you're thinking about Continental Routes-
fairly narrow choice there...
boeing 777-200 - AAAAH!!!! never flown but dreaming about it! it flies to KJFK only.
boeing 767-300ER- Smooth flier. LOVE IT. flies to KORD and KJFK
Airbus A-310-324 FAVORITE OF ALL TIMES! LOVE IT AND WILL ALWAYS FLY AIRBUS! flies to KIAD
Ilyushin Il-96... you will not be flying it, trust me!
and one more time- FLY IT AND FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF!

I have flown Aeroflot, well, no wonder it's the Flag carrier of my country :).
The food is okay, on international flights. Of course you won't get tricky salad with olives or pineapple with beacon like on British Airways (by far, I consider British taste to be the most abstract and avangard - which I like) :)).
Unless they have changed their schedules, I believe there's a B777-200 flight from London to Moscow, but only once a week.
I enjoy all flights with Aeroflot International. In fact, before I first flew abroad, I haven't ever suspected that a Tu-154 can be so pleasant and smooth to fly on :)).
