Air Adriatic announced that it will start flights from Zagreb and Split to Berlin (unspecified airport),Hamburg and Dusseldorf two weeks from now (on 13th DEC).
No details were given on frequency yet.
I couldn't find any confirmation of this on any of the airport websites.
They will be flying so called "worker flights" with ticket prices starting at 180 Euros.
Will this happen is not so sure.
They have already announced many flights that they didn't start flying.

...you are completely right, Tomislav... eventhough it looks like they will really start this german flights this time. I belive you saw this big commercials in croatian daily newspapers, and they are planning to sell some tickets for as low as 90 EUR (very limited numbers).
Also, they are trying to establish the flight to Goetheborg, but that is not so sure.

Second MD82 is allready painted in AirAdriatic colors and it should be delivered any day now.
The third one is scheduled for march.

Of course, if they will still exist by than.

Hello,

there were adverts for the flights in the "Hamburger Abendblatt" for a while now. It is Hamburg´s leading newspaper and they are talking about two flights a week to Hamburg.

Do you have more info on that second MD-82?

I do not really read newspapers so I haven't noticed the ads.
I got the info from
http://biznis.hinet.hr

I'd like to add some more info on Air Adriatic
It was mentioned in the Croatian media that American-serbian tycoon Milan Panic (also PM of Yugoslavia during Milosevic regime) and Richard Holbrooke are planning to invest around 100million US$ in Air Adriatic with possibility of making an alliance with airlines from Kosovo and Macedonia.

How has the introduction of Air Adriatic effected Croatia Airlines? Have prices or loads gone down to reflect a new competitor in the market?

I noticed that Air Adriatic conducts a few Air Bosna flights on occasion too.

Its good to see Air Adriatic expanding. Has anyone flown on this airline yet, what is there service like? And anything new with Croatia Airlines?

Air Adriatic is not really a competition to Croatia Airlines now.
Maybe when they grow.
On the other hand Croatia Airlines lowered prices on its domestic flights (80kn+VAT+airport taxes) from Zagreb to Pula and Zadar and (100+vat+apt taxes) to Split and Dubrovnik
VAT is 22% and airport taxes are 55kn in Zag
Pula and Dubrovnik do not charge taxes for these flights

I have found on BERLIN AIRPORT WEBSITE
www.berlin-airport.de a complete schedule of all flights between Berlin and Zagreb. In order to reach it, you should click on Timetable, and then just choose Zagreb from the list of destinations (irrespective of which airport in Berlin). All flights will be listed automatically, according to weekly frequency.
