How Is UA 767 International?

For Xmas I will fly to SNA from CDG. Two routings are available : either via SFO (777) then on to SNA (UA airbus 319 or 320 I think), or via ORD. The flight CDG ORD is now operated by 767 and not 777. Can someone give me info on UA 767 ? Comfort, PTV etc. ? thanks.

I have flown the UA 767-300ER's from JFK to LHR and back a few times. They are OK. Most have PTV's in economy, but United's inflight entertainment is very basic. Seating is the standard 2-3-2 in coach. The planes were clean and the ones I had been on had the new seats.

I actually like UA's 763's better than their 777's. I hate the 2-5-2 seating on their triple 777's.

thanks for your response. Yes, I would hate to be stuck in the middle seat of the 252 configuration on a 777. But so far, I have managed to prebook my seats and have had either aisle or window. Once I was assigned a seat in the middle on UA from SFO to CDG. But they managed to change it a few minutes before boarding to a window seat, phew !
I prefer the seating configuration on 767 too. Unless of course they change the seating configuration on 777 to 333.
So, not all of their 767s have PTV ?

Why not just fly nonstop to LAX? SNA is Orange County, right? Cheaper?

Anyway, I flew nonstop from MIA to GIG on a UA 767 once, and I enjoyed it. The C class seats are the same as on the 777, there's only two in the middle row however.

I think all the 763s have PTVs in Economy now.

UA doesn't fly LAX-CDG non-stop anymore. SFO,IAD and ORD have non-stops. UA's Int'l 763 have PTV's in Y-class.

I flew from GRU-JFK on the 763 and thought it was very comfortable, equal to that of the 777 in coach. All international 767s should have PTVs in all classes. I thought it was cool to have the ammenities of the 777 (ptv) with a smaller aircraft (767). I think it is a comfortable plane to be on for a long flight.

Yes, SNA is Orange County.... not my number one of places to visit though I will continue south to san diego.
As responded to earlier, UA does not fly nonstop anymore to LAX ! The same flight number as the SFO flight continues to LAX I think but with a change of equipment.
Prices are basically the same to fly via SFO or ORD or even LAX. I have the possibility of the following routing : CDG SFO SNA (a chance to try out the baby buses of UA) then SNA ORD CDG.

The Y class in the 767-300 for UA is very comfortable so lang as you can secure a E-Plus seat. Otherwise the E-minus seating is typical of all airlines. Yes PTV. Meals are of standard fare and you must get a window if for no other reason than to sleep.
