Air Wisconsin has converted 6 options on the CRJ200LR into firm orders. The planes will be operated for Air Tran in the new subsidary Air Tran Express.

Looks like AirTran JetConnect will definitely take over most of AirTran's shorter routes. The only short route I don't see switching over to JetConnect service is GPT, perhaps maybe providing additional service on the route. Perhaps JetConnect will start some service out of BWI as well. I still think AirTran could use JetConnect to reopen some markets and explore new ones. Perhaps they can restart flights to BNA (closed 1999), TYS (closed 2000), BDL (closed 1999). I think they should really try to compete against ASA by adding service to AGS, AVL, MGM, and CHA.
