Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

"Lufthansa won't leave a good friend in the lurch," said spokesman Thomas Jachnow of Europe's No. 2 airline, although he cautioned that "whether an investment, cooperation or support in whatever form - no decision has been taken."

"But it's improbable that Europe's No. 2 carrier could pitch in enough to help United dodge bankruptcy"

Much as love my friends, I wouldn't give them my house payment to save theirs if I didn't have it to spare....

i highly doubt they will give money to UA. in an official press release a couple of days ago, LH´s next CEO, Wolfganf Mayrhuber, already member of the Executive Board, pointed out that if UA filed for Chapter 11 the basic agreement for financial assistance (there´s some sort of agreement between LH and UA regarding this dilemma) would not be put into place.
could have misunderstood things, though, but i don´t think so.

If only pure sweetness was offered, why's this bitter taste left in my mouth.
