Bonjour all...
Out with the news...
Christian Lacroix has been picked to design Air France's new uniform which will be worn systemwide by all frontline employees.
Christian Lacroix is one of France's top designer and was hand picked amongst other top european designer by the company after a campaign that included managment executives, cabin attendants, pilots and ground staff as well as frequent Air France travellers.
Christian Lacroix was selected because he was presenting a project that fitted AF's spirit best. He will design a uniform that encompasses french values and elegance. The future uniform, like the present one will have blue as a dominant colour.

Hahaha... As much as I love Ab Fab, everything Eddie always wore that was LaCroix was horrifying.
That also being said during the "new" season on Comedy Central when she and Saffy bumped in to Christien at a restaurant in Paris and she screamed "Christien! Oh I'm not wearing your clothes" he mumbled "Thank god for that".
So maybe if he styles the whole thing it'll be fine.
N
p.s. United serves sparkling water called "LaCroix"

Sorry for this question its off topic but who designed the current VS uniform?- I was at The Benetton the other day with a friend of mine and they had something very similar to what the VS f/a's wear.

Negative, Ghost Rider, the pattern is full...
Its a shot from the 6th episode of the 3rd season, "THE END".
Its the one where Eddie goes to the cult camp and Patsy goes to New York to consult at a magazine, and Eddie has to rescue her off the roof of the building in a helicopter.

Heh ARGinMIA,
Its Joanna Lumley portraying the very colorful character "Patsy Stone" in the BBC's now-long-over series "Absolutely Fabulous". Comedy Central funded (yet-another-)final season in 2001.
Inappropriate Ab Fab Trivia: Joanna Lumley _was_ a model in the 60s, and a beautiful one, still is. The producers spent a ton of money on makeup to make her old and ugly.
This is all relevant because Christien LaCroix appears in the series (and the movie) a few times, and Edina manages to put on a good number of horrifying combinations of LaCroix fashions, as well as a big necklace (neckchain) made from the letters L A C R O I X.
Heh I hope the moderators let us keep this thread... a nice diversion from the so-called-death of United.

I can see it now. AF Cabin Crew and his fellow cart tarts greet their passengers on their first flight in the uniforms and they ask them what they think of them, and this is the response they get:

Why does aviation appeal to gay men?
Heh it appeals the same way Sex and the City does, or rather in a converse way.
Sex in the City personifies glamour. Ab Fab takes it to a failed extreme. Gay people identify with both.
