Hi there,

I just checked the booking option on airliners.net. My travel dates were Jan-23 STR-LHR-BOS and on Feb-6 BOS-LHR-STR.
One of the result was a business class flight (well, at least it says that) for $390 roundtrip - I just can't believe, that this is really a biz-class ticket/fare. Is there anybody who knows s.th. about Continentals booking system. This is the complete fare base:

Is that flight non-stop?

CO does not fly that non-stop.

The "T" booking code is not business class. Check the fare basis on this site:

Airworthy: The flight is operated by Virgin Atlantic.

Zrs70: You are right - It does not look like a biz-fare.

Well, seems as if it was to good to be true :-((

THX to u all - have fun!

CO was/is having a sale on BusinessFirst seats across the Atlantic. Eastcoast to Europe fares were all in the low $1000 range. Which is as much as I paid for Tucson-Gatwick in coach during mid-summer. $390 seems pretty good right now for an off-peak winter trip.

STR is Stutgart, right? Makes me wonder who is operating STR-LHR then...

Well it still displays Business Class damn clearly, fare class being correct or not.

Zrs70, that link doesn't work.

Though it says business class, there is an error somewhere. The fare basis is clearly a discount fare basis. The travelocity link should I posted above should work fine.

Continental does not fly to Stuttgart, Germany and has no nonstop flights to Europe from Boston, other than a code share with VS to LHR on a VS aircraft.

A STR-BOS flight ticketed on Continental would involve a connection somewhere in Europe and again in Newark.

ContinentalEWR,

It is actually BMI STR-LHR and then Virgin Atlantic LHR-BOS.

Just as a sidenote, bmi does no longer operate LHR-STR-LHR, LH flies now STR-LHR-STR with ARJ and CRJ, three times a day I think.
