I was wondering if there was a data base that would tell me the airline that the registration was from. I am looking them up on Bill Harms site, but the aircraft that I am taking to MCO from YYZ is old and has many registrations....i don't feel like looking them all up on this site, any idea where i can see the history of the aircraft(s)?

Grant

BTW, I am taking an L-1011 down and back, could be one of the last flights that I will ever take on an L-1011!!

Grant:

Half the fun of spotting is looking up the past history of the aircraft; however, there are many easy options. From a.net put the present registration in the Keyword field, hit enter, and you should get quite a few hits.

Air Transat doesn't have that many L1011s, and indeed, there are not many left in passenger service, you should have no problem finding what you are looking for.

Good luck.

Thanks Fpdonald,

I have run into one snag.....C-FTSW was delivered to someone with a Reg. N48354?

Can't find it in the data base?

Is there a data base on all L-1011 and who they were delivered to? Like starting with # 1 and going through all 250? And with any other aircraft?

I can't find any records of C-FTSW. You probably mean C-FSTW. This site: http://www.jetairliners.com/som.htm lists all previous operators and regos of the aircraft.

Gdabski, good site but "je ne pa parlle en francise" (or how ever you spell it?)

See finding the current aircraft was easy, finding out who got it first is the hard part!

You can also search most US reg #'s at http://www.aero-web.org . Doesn't always work with all reg's,though...........

C-FTSW, TriStar 500 cn 1246, registered to Lockheed 1985 as N64959, delivered to ALIA - Royal Jordanian as JY-AGI on June 3, 1985.

ALIA was the original name of Royal Jordanian (named after Queen Alia of Jordan)
