Hey guys,
I was wondering if anybody had some definite info on who has ordered or signed L.O.I. for the new 777s. I love these planes and am excited that the new ones were finally launched. I've heard JAL, EVA and GE Capital. Anyone know anything more concrete, maybe even numbers?? Also, if Singapore orders -200LRs, will they cancel their order for A340-500s to have a common fleet of 777s? Thanks in advance for any information.

Boeing has not announced the launch customers, or the exact number of orders, saying that the customers have asked not to be identified yet. We should expect announcements soon!

I have heard that AF ordered ~10, JAL a similar number, GECAS has order some, there is also speculation that AA/UA are among the launch customers.

Delta is among the customers, around 20 of them. This for new Singapore, Beijing, Vietnam, and Asian destinations.

DeltaAir... do you really think that Delta would order 20 aircraft for services that they have not even received approval for yet? Delta does not have rights to fly to Beijing, and they are competing against four other airlines for those rights! Come on, now... They're not stupid. They wouldn't invest that kind of money in the route until they knew they got it.

Actually, they don't need the routes to order 20 more 777s.
