As of March 30 (31) 2003, CSA Czech Airlines will start three new services
5 x per week Prague - Edinburgh (737-500 stays overnight at Edinburgh)
4 x per week Prague - Cork (737-500 stays overnight at Cork)
5 x per week Prague - Tallinn (737-500 midday flight)
These are excellent news, I really consider CSA as the leading Central European airline. I find their service quite good, and their expansion is incredible! I am not so sure about catching up with Austrian Airlines (although I don't exclude it in distant future) but I think CSA overtook MALEV and LOT definitelly in number of European airports served. And they always send 737-500...
And somebody knows more about LOT/MALEV/CSA?
Are there any news about LOT? I know MALEV started flights to Odessa, Bologna, Venice with their CRJs...

I regularly fly CSA from Montreal to PRG and they are simply great. They are also going to buy another A-310-300 in the near future therefore adding more flights to canada (YUL-YYZ). I will fly with them to Rome next week. Their European and intercontinental service is great. I strongly recommand CSA to all travelers. Furthermore, check out their website at the following address http://www.csa.cz/en/ they have special fares within Europe now.

Traveler: Where did you get that info regarding CSA acquiring a third A 310 ?
AFAIK, and as somebody also mentioned in another related thread not too long ago, CSA were considering a replacement of the two A 310-300s with A330-200s. There was even some speculation recently about them going all-Boeing with a couple of 767s.
In any event, if they want stay on par with the competition, it is in their best interest to dump those two old buses soon a get new equipment for long hauls. They should have done that long time ago. Rgrds,

I often negociate with CSA as a travel agent and I am also friends with the sale Manager. He is the one who told me about their new A-310-300. I will ask him again next week when I get my tickets. I hope I did not lie here! I went to pick up my friend who works for CSA at the airport two days ago and she confirmed it as well. I will certainly make sure the info is right.
