Several times I have seen here postings from and about aviation journalists in topics that were alrady far away form the start. Personally I have no problems with them as they can be a very good and reliable source for information that we as 'regular' aviation fans mostly hear in a later stage.
What I would like to know who of the forum members are aviation journalists and which paper or organisation do you work for (staff as well freelance) and if you have other activities as well (e.g. 100 meter fast knitting champion ). This will give us more information about the background of you and also a chance to judge posted information at it's right value without having postings going on and on ending in a messy situation. And that will be to the benefit of all of us as we are at the end all enthousiastic aviation fans.

It is common knowledge that aforementioned members are journalists, they constantly bring it up themselves, and both have mentioned it explicitely in their profiles. Hence I see no problem in stating this well-known fact. It's not like I'm giving out their real names, or the exact paper they work for (even though, in one case, I know) because that would be up to them to reveal. I haven't mentioned anything that is not common and public knowledge.
