I am looking forward to get more information about airports in Europe for plane spotting. I am familiar with the Frankfurt airport, but I also want to know more about other European airports where I can take nice photos (e.g. Schipol, Orly,...).

I know Zurich Airport:
There is a very good view from the roof of parking B and in terminal B there is a terrace (platform) for visitors where you can take pictures. They have a guided bus-tour where you can get out near the run-ways. There are some places outside the airport where you can get near the fence quite close to different run-ways. Best time to spot in ZRH is around noon.

I know that Palma de Mallorca International (PMI) has a small dead end right by runway 06L/24R, where people go to see planes take off and land...it's impressive, since it's not far from the runway. The only bad thing is the high fence.

At Schiphol there's a great panorama terrace. You can see both runways from there and also most gates. I don't know if it's accessible from the airside area but at laast it's easy to find it after you clear the customs.

Munich airport is a nice airport to spot aircrafts. There is a deck (a stange squared hill) especially made for this. It is visible when arriving at the airport, and is very close to one of the runways. Other areas (close to Kempiski Hotel for example) enable you to have a good view. The way the airport is setup, it is easy to take your car and drive to try several spots.
In Paris, Orly has a terrace (Either Orly-Sud or Orly-West, not both) from which you can have a good view of the taxi ways and one of the runway.

I know Heathrow and there is a great spectators gallery on the roof of Terminal two.Gatwick is also very good and they have a nose section of a Comet and a Handley Page Herald which you can go inside. Here in Dublin the best place to get photos is the road next to the main runway.

At Faro (my home airport) you have a terrace with a good view to the ramp but the sun is in front of you. On the south of the runway, outside the airport, you very good places always with the sun behind you. Here you can see all the major european charter airlines.
Forget Seville in Spain, there's almost no traffic there and no terrace, only a couple of windows with glass.
At Luxembourg there are good places outside the airport but I didn't find them, also I didn't see any terrace.
At Budapest you have to pay to go to the terrace but the view is very good and many east Europe airlines can be seen there, good for photographers.
