I will be flying AirNZ LAX-AKL in March 2003, J-class.
After a few flights with United JFK-NRT, I know that if you bring your roller suitcase aboard (like the Tumi which I travel with), the United FAs will put it in the large closet on the upper deck for you.
Does anyone know if the same is possible onboard AirNZ's 747-400s?

One thing for sure from my trips on UA they are a lot more relaxed about people bringing large bags onto the a/c, especially up front in J or F as opposed to Air NZ.
If your bag won't fit in the side locker or overhead it might get put in the hold.
I always found it a pan to have to get things out from a bag in the wardrobe - and the crew do too if they have piled other bags on it.
