The emirate of Abu Dhabi (one of the United Arab Emirates) is considering the launch of an airline in the coming few years. Strange that this statement comes from the chairman of Gulf Air, which depends on Abu Dhabi for its survival as a multinational airline. The article can be found here:

Well, if this happens I'm think Gulf Air could be splitted into 2-4 parts or they will become national carrier of Bahrain.
