IAD Concourse A

I am flying into Dulles later this week on United Express into the A Concourse. I was wondering if Concourse A is connected to concourse B with security?

Yes it is. It's actually the same building.. just 3 escalator rides.

The covered bridge/hall between A and B is one of the better places at IAD to watch planes.

No, don't have to go thru security. Check out the map in the Hemispheres magazine of IAD and you can see that A and B are connected. The777Man

No, there is a walkway from concourse A to B. The only place where you go thru sercurity is at the main terminal...so you can ride on the lounges to concourse C and D from A and dont have to worry about passing thru sercurity. That's what is really neat about IAD.
