What Exotic Airline Do You Want To Fly?

Encarta dictionary defines exotic as:

"Strikingly unusual and often very colorful and exciting or suggesting distant countries and unfamiliar culture".

Now being that I am a black female living in Southern California, I find the following airlines exotic and want to fly them because from my perspective, they are from cool and unique places!

1. Air Tahiti Nui
2. Icelandair
3. Royal Air Maroc
4. SAS
5. Royal Jordanian
6. Varig
7. Thai
8. Air New Zealand
9. Asiana
10. South African
11. LOT
12. Kuwait Air
13. Cathay Pacific
14. Austrian Air (I think that's what it's called)
15. TAP
16. Greenlandair (although I'm not too crazy about the livery, heck, it goes to Greenland! What more could I ask for?)
17. Korean
18. Singapore
19. Malaysia
20. Finnair

I'd probably really stick out like a sore thumb on those airlines. Big grin What airlines do you want to fly because you find them exotic?

Any airline serving Courchevel, France!

But I doubt there are any.. Tyrolean used a Dash-7 there.. incredible.

I seriously think I just creamed my pants without any influence from any outside variables.

I've only flown US carriers, so I have a list ten miles long! But if I had to narrow it down, I'd pick:
Cathay Pacific
Emirates
Air Tahiti Nui
Qantas
South African Airways
Varig
EVA Air
Singapore

There are others, but they're not really that exotic - just carriers I haven't flown on and would love to!

Emirates
Aeroflot
Uzbekistan Airways (love their 767 livery, and the queues at their check-in counters look.... interesting)
Turkmenistan Airways (another airline with interesting looking people in their queues at Heathrow)
Manxx Air (the Isle of Man airline - did I spell it right?)
South African Airways
Air Namibia
Virgin Blue
JetBlue
Frontier Airlines
Wardair (the little airline in Alaska - I just want to meet the people and ask them whether they're related to Max Ward... oh, and fly in a floatplane Beaver, of course!)
Icelandair
Singapore Airlines
The helicopter shuttle from Monaco to the airport (read some trip reports!)
Cougar Airlines (the only 727s left in England, I believe! plus a great livery!)
Scotair

.... but unfortunately, it's unlikely that I should fly with any of them in the foreseeable future...

Regards

Ikarus

To think that I was booked on Air Tahiti Nui but that the plane went u/s and I got stuck on a boring Air NZ 767-300 instead  Sad

I want to try Alliance Airlines (F100), and some middle-eastern airlines (Gulf Air, Qatar, Royal Jordanian, Yemenia, Emirates, Iran Air, Saudi Arabian)

For some odd reason, Southeast Asian airlines are calling to me- my list includes:

Phuket Air
Bangkok Air/ Siam Reap Air (gotta love those liveries on the 717s)
PB Air (not so much now that the F.28s are gone)
Air Andaman
Biman Bangladesh (I know they have a bad reputation, but what's life without adventure?)
Vietnam Airlines
and finally Air Vallee (I know they're not SE Asian, but this airline intrigues me somehow...)

I fly Philippine Airlines a lot and have seen a variety of people (including black females  Big thumbs up) on many of my flights so you'd actually be surprised at how diverse international flights can become nowadays. I myself am always happy to see diversity everywhere I go. As for my list, it would have to be:

1) BWIA
2) Royal Jordanian
3) Icelandair
4) KLM
5) Aeroflot
6) Varig
7) Lufthansa

Sorry.... Don't know if your comment about Wardair is an "inside" joke or what.... and I don't mean this to be taken the wrong way!!!....Just providing some info....

Wardair was a Canadian airline based in Edmonton. They originally started in Yellowknife, NT. as Polaris Charters??? I think.... but certainly not Alaska.....

As a matter of fact, I had the privilege of boarding Mr. Ward on to our flight to Yellowknife last month.... He still seems to be going strong and looked well....
