The idiot who stood up to make a bomb threat AFTER the Skymarshals had his buddy in custody deserves a nomination for this year's Darwin Awards.

There is confusion over his identity, with some saying he's Jordanian, while the authorities maybe trying to cover that up. Makes you wonder how bad could the food have been?

B747-437B-

The person has to be dead to be considered for a true Darwin Award, however he could get an honorable mention from them since being dead is not a requirement for that part...I agree though, that guy needs a "Bonehead of the Year" award or something like that...

Definitely, one of the stupidest stories I have heard in aviation in a while.

Why is it that so many Arabic men issue threats of death and destruction so easily, so fast, and for so many things, at the drop of a hat? In the West, we would just threaten to kill the other guy. Or sue. But in the arabic world, the immediate reaction is to threaten to kill everybody. To send everyone to paradise. And why so much violence aimed at airliners? What did the plane do? Why not aim some of that anger toward other craft like ski-doos, sea-doos, motorcycles, or elevators? It's always airliners. We love 'em, they hate 'em.

Actually, that's not true. They also love to blow up buses, discos, restaurants, embassies, and the occasional car bombing. And recently they've moved up to office buildings.

You see. Just as soon as I was ready to stereotype arabic men, we see that it's not true. They'll blow up anything.
