Air Tahiti Nui have announced they will operate a second weekly service into Auckland , New Zealand with an Airbus A340-300 Aircraft . Effective late March 2003/ Early April 2003.
TN ready operate a single weekly service into AKL from PPT with A343 or A342 aircraft .
Air Tahiti Nui has plans to withdrawn the famous F-OITN which gave birth to the airline in 1998 . The aircraft will retire from the airline sometime early 2003 and when that happens a new A340-300 will join the fleet and will replace F-OITN with larger capacity.

Is there any possibility that this airline will operate to Europe, maybe London or Paris more likely??? Are they getting more A340s and if so does that mean they plan new routes.

Aussiestu,
Air Tahiti Nui already operates from Papeete to Paris CDG twice a week during the winter timetable, via LAX.
They are looking to operate daily though within the next 2 years when new aircraft join the fleet. 2 A340-300 have been ordered, the aircrafts which were previously tagged to join Sabena will arrive around April 2003 and will bare the name of the Island of "Moorea" and the other will carry the name of the atoll of "Rangiroa".
