Why BA LHR-BOS Flight Called '51G?'

I read through Terry Wade's ACARS logs (really fascinating!) to see which planes operate certain routes, and to see which routes use aircraft I've been on.

Routinely, British Airways' flight 215 from Heathrow to Boston (a 777) is always designated as BA flight 51G? I see this designation also used when I check flightarrivals.com; the incoming BA flight (215) is always listed as flight '51G.' What's up with this? No other BA flights get this alternate designation.

There may be a conflicting flight number on a similar route therefore they'd use a "codified" number so that the wrong aircraft doesn't respond to an ATC instruction. If you were in the UK, you'd hear plenty of alphanumeric callsigns used in place of the flight number.
