Its a code share flight operated by DL.
It is good for INTL ONLINE CONNEX TRAFFIC ONLY.
LY does not operate anymore between LAX and JFK/EWR, not on its own and not by NAA.
LAX services now being operated via YYZ with 777s.
5th freedom rights for LY on it's LAX-YYZ-LAX route.
BTW, at the US and Canada, LY offers connecting flights which are operated by DL (JFK-SEA, LAX, SFO, SLC, DFW and more) and also AC (YYZ-YUL, YVR, BOS, ORD, SFO).
All the above sectors are good for Intl pax coming from/to TLV.

El Al does operate intra-US flights during the summer. They fly JFK-MIA with a 744 and EWR-MIA with a 772. Of course, they cannot sell tickets for the NYC-MIA legs.
