They used to fly the B777s 5 times weekly to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back in 2000 and 2001 before they suspended their services in March 2001. If I am not mistaken, that was BA's longest B777 route, a distance of about 6500 miles.

They definitely fly the B777 to Beijing. The route to Tokyo is not daily operated by B777 and so you would have to look at the schedule. Thats about it to Asia but maybe after more deliveries they will increase services to Asia and use the B777 instead of Jumbos. They could use the B777 to serve new routes if and when they try them?

A340-Fan - interestingly your link also shows that BA0033 left for Kuala Lumpur on 3/1/2003 with a Boeing 737 equipment. I doubt that was true... especially when BA left KUL in 2001 and the 737-400 would not have the range capabilities NOR the capacity!!!
Just returned on MH8 yesterday and the flight was 20 overbooked.
