American Eagle will start daily (except Saturday) non-stop ERJ service between Traverse City, Michigan and Marquette, Michigan starting 7 January 2003. The service will originate at Chicago O'Hare and replace American Eagle's daily O'Hare-Marquette service.

I saw this too. The reason is so obvious. ORD-TVC-SAW. Sawyer is a maint. base for AE. Loads were probably not that good on the ORD-SAW run this time of year. So, instead of flying it half full to SAW, they can fly it to TVC, full, then continue onto SAW.

Does anyone have any numbers on the load factors between Chicago and Traverse City and Chicago up to Sawyer?? I'm kind of curious as to the popularity of them.

only reason Eagle has Marquette on the map is because they were given a free hangar at the airport for maintenance...

SegmentKing. They used to have their maint. base at MQT. So its not entirely true. I feel if they wouldnt have moved to SAW, they would have still kept the MQT base open.

Looking at my AA schedules from early to mid 90's, they were operating ATR42 and ATR72 to ORD via GRB and TVC.
