Mesa must be doing very well if they plan to begin this route which has been rumored for ever to be a very profitable route, any verifications or questions? If so lets discuss them here!

Eugene is/was a travel bank city, and the Phoenix run has done well over the past few years and has seen a frequency upgrade. With United pulling mainline service from Eugene there must be a decent opp for Mesa to move in. However the LAS-FAT route did not perform well. If the Eugene flight is only a single flight at the wee hours of the morning to connect to the nighttime LAS bank, then I do not think it will do well. If there are multiple frequencies I can see it doing better.

EUG-LAS has been operated in the past by other airlines. I believe one operator was scheduled charters offered by FunJet. I'm not sure why the route has remained empty. It could be a good opportunity.
FAT-LAS was a very competitive route for AWX, fighting both Allegiant and UAExpress (3 daily Brasilias). Allegiant is Fresno based and involved in the community and UA started operating in Fresno in the late 1940s so they have always had a large frequent flyer base for UAExpress. AWX had only a single mid-day flight so it did not even connect with the late night bank, let alone provide a good departure time (i.e. late afternoon for after work or early AM for a full day of gambling) for LAS bound travellers who had other choices.

Yes I know, A airline (Now diseased) called "TriStar" operated 3 times a day with a BAe146. Well the LAS route is predicted to do well because there is such a large demand for LAS out of Eugene, Not because its a hub for AWA, I think it should do great, TriStar Flew it for I think 11months or something like that, Well all in all AW Express will now have 4 flights to EUG a day, serving two cities! lol

FATFlyer,
How has Allegiant been doing in COS lately?
Originally the service started as daily except on Saturdays and in October was upgraded to daily.
They also added a 2nd flight which operates on Mondays and Thursdays.
I assume they are doing well now? When they started, I heard they were doing poorly.
I think HP will do well on EUG-LAS. The market for it certainly has grown since United is stopping mainline service.
Regards

BA,
I haven't heard anything lately out of Allegiant about COS. They carried about 2,000 pax on COS-LAS in Oct but I haven't heard anything more recent.
The new ICT-LAS route appears to be getting early reservations at a rate faster than expected.
