It appears that MAN may have another based charter carrier in the shape of Lapland Air, who are seeking A300 crews in a Flight International magazine advertisement.

So, the pair of A300s that were thought to be going out to pasture will, in fact, appear to have at least one more summer of operations.

Where does Air Scandic come into all this - they were meant to be re-equipping with 757s but do have they any tie-in with Lapland Air?

David

i also like the rain, dear joke..... hehehhe Big grin

Have the primary schools of Manchester set their 5 year olds onto the "design a livery" competition yet??? Or they gonna have a proper one this time?? Anyway, why are they changing names? Did Scandic go bankrupt?

Does that mean that it will come from Lap"dance"land ??.

I for some reason always think of Lapland as Lap"dance"land every time I hear it mentioned !!!.

The reason i wondered is that I sorta know someone (friend of a friend) who works for their handling agent at Manchester and apparently they had one problem after another all summer, especially with one of the A300's which had hydraulic and electrical problems all summer and caused some heated debated between passengers and crew/ground staff on more than one occasion?? Those aircraft are a bit old though now...... I didnt hear about the 757 re-equipping, i knew they leased 2 through the summer but thats all i know....
