I got the opportunity to fly on this aircraft, in its fantastic special colour scheme, the only time I was ever on a Boeing 777 in late August 2001, from Dublin to Atlanta.

Only saw it twice(once at LGW and once over LHR) which is a shame.Hope to get soem close up shots of PMax at CDG this summer to make up for it.

Yeah it's sad, but I've had many wonderful flights aboard 7005 and look forward to many more. There will most likely be a commemorative title somewhere on the fuselage and a commemorative plaque at the bulkhead of 2L.

It's not like it's a surprise... I mentioned this way back in September of 2001.

I had the pleasure of seeing the 777 soaring spirit in ATL on September 7th. Too bad that it will be repainted.

Thank goodness these liveries are going. They were hideous.
