That's interesting.. when was the last time western equipment emerged cheaper in an Indian tender where both Russian and western equipment met the technical criteria?

This time the IAF considered the entire lifecycle cost (which includes both the initial purchase cost and the maintenance/overhaul cost) for deciding the lowest bidder.

It would be good to see these twin rotor giants in the Indian skies!
