I'm not really that familiar with military aircraft and their operations, but I remember that for the past few years there was talk of MKE loosing its military base. However, they still have planes stationed here and in fact I was at the open house they had last weekend. Does anyone know when or if its still going to be closed down? Thanks.

Will you watch the Cleveland Browns and the Detroit Lions on Sunday? Only if coach Eric Mangini resigned after a loss.

As per the 2005 BRAC:

The 128th Air Refueling WIng (Air National Guard) will maintain 12 KC-135R's

http://www.brac.gov/docs/ANG_Aircraf...down-Commission_Recommendation.pdf

The 94th Airlift wing (Air Force Reserve Unit) will loose it's 8 C-130H aircraft.

So it's a mixed bag, the C-130s go but 12 KC-135s stay. Not sure if these actions have take place yet.
