News just breaking in Serbia, SAF (Serbian Air Force) MiG 29 has crashed just outside of Belgrade. Initial reports suggest that the pilot encountered engine trouble. He aimed the jet for an uninhibited area and then catapulted. The plane crashed in an open field, no ground casualties.
The pilot survived and is at the VMA military hospital.

Quoting JoKeR (Reply 1): The pilot has unfortunately died of his injuries and so has an army officer on the ground.

This is 3rd fatal crash of Serbian Air Force in last few years. RIP to those that died.
There are suggestions that pilot's seat was not working properly, although no official reports yet.
Belgrade Air Show which was suppose to happen on Saturday was canceled.
