For the Typhoon enthusiasts out there, here's a question. According to an old brochure I have, printed apparently by Eurofighter, the Typhoon can accommodate either 1,000 liter or 2,000 liter external fuel tanks. As best I can tell, only the 1,000 liter tanks are in service. Has anyone seen any reference to the 2,000 liter tanks being produced and have they even been test fiitted and flown? It appears they're designed to fit underwing. Not sure if the Typhoon is supposed to be able to accommodate the 2,000 liter tank on the centerline.

I've never heard of the 2000 liter tanks, only 1000 l and 1500 l, the latter being the smaller one of the two tanks used on the Tornado (the other is 2250 l). And I think the centerline station is limited to the 1000 l one (look at photos which show the landing gear doors open and a tank on the centerline).
