Today it's been 50 years since the first flight of the SAAB 32 Lansen (the Lance).
The Lansen - rarely seen outside Sweden - was the first Swedish-made fighter to exceed Mach 1 (diving). A few aircraft still fly.

The SAAB 32 is, in my opinion, aesthetically one of the most attractive airplanes of its era and the most attractive airplane ever built by SAAB.
