Hello All,
I live in relative close proximity to MacDill AFB in Tampa, probably about 10 miles due East if there was a straight road. Unfortunately, Tampa Bay pretty much gets in the way. Regardless, I periodically see the KC-135s doing some sort of circular maneuvers, and their flight paths take them more or less over my neighborhood in regular intervals. They are usually at the same altitude and either single or in pairs. I've always wondered what they are practicing? Does anyone know what they are doing? Thanks in advance.

They are practicing touch and goes. I work at Clearwater-St. Pete and see them quite often for a few touch and goes before heading back to MacDill.
