I have noticed a large amount of Air Force traffic the last few weeks in San Francisco, Now I have been working her 14 years and have never seen so much. I have seen multiple C-37 (including a G-4 on the ramp the last few days). Also, 2 weeks ago a C-40 was in over a night or two.
Just curious if anyone has come feedback!

Perhaps they are re-routing traffic across the Pacific and away from the volcanic dust cloud over the Atlantic and polar routes?

No, this was way before the volcano. Yesterdays arrival was met by 2 black suv's. Which is normal, just the high frequency of these a/c rolling in and out is not normal.

Sorry its me doing a few SFO spotting trips and i like to make a show when i fly in haha just kidding. I wonder if there is going to be some high profile thing going on there soon and they are just coming in for some prep work.
Could be! They been pretty regular. Now, we have 2 Super Stallions (look to be Marine's) parked at plot-41 as well. They flew in 4/26 mid-day and are still here this morning 4/28.
I'm not complaining about the military flying for sure, love it. Just curious of the add frequency.

It is the Speaker of the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, who represents also the San Franciso district in Congress. She has been suttling back and forth from ADW-SFO to do local campagining for her reelection as well as pushing bills through the House.
In the past, the USAF provided her with the C-20A, but she complained about the refueling stop it needed going westward (usually at IAB). She has demanded use of the C-37A, the C-32A and C-40B from the USAF..
