As follow on to the original post, three more images. These images focused on the lighting around the orbiter on launch night. I was trying to capture the light beams intensity hence the orbiter gets washed out. You can click on them to see them bigger.

On the picture below: the faint red loop at the tree line is a NASA security helicopter providing air cover for the astronauts who are on their way to catch the ride into space.
