1) The source is more or less credible (TV defence reporter)

2) Didn't know a new Naval fighter RFI had been issued

3) Given that the Mig-29K is yet to enter service, and the Naval Tejas is under development - India is looking at a 3 different fleets of naval fighter types

4) Don't know if this means the Mig-29k hasn't lived up to expectations OR

5) The Naval Tejas has been dumped.

In february Saab offered a navalized Gripen to the Indian navy, so it seems like they are evaluating the options aviable.
